This initiative, announced by the Torrejón de Ardoz City Council, allows residents to access a wide variety of products from small and medium-sized businesses in the city. The goal is to modernize the local commercial sector, adapting it to new digital consumption trends and facilitating online shopping with the convenience of home delivery.
To use the service, users must register on the website www.mercatorrejon.es. Once registered, they can browse participating businesses and select desired items. Orders are delivered the day after purchase, with the option to choose between morning or afternoon delivery slots.
“"It is another program to support small and medium-sized businesses in the city, such as Torrestock, Shopping at the Magical Christmas of Torrejón, Enjoy in the Plaza Mayor, or the extensive program of quality leisure activities organized, among other things, to boost commerce."
The Torrejón de Ardoz City Council fully covers transportation costs, benefiting both merchants and consumers. The delivery service operates from Monday to Saturday, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, although these hours may be adjusted based on demand. This action is funded by European funds, establishing itself as a key strategy for the local commercial development.
Mayor Alejandro Navarro emphasized that this measure will enable small businesses to attract new customers and offer a personalized, high-quality home delivery service, without incurring additional costs for either party.
