Grup El Pòsit of Tarragona has been recognized with a national award for its sustainable innovation and commitment to emission reduction, while L’Algadir del Delta hotel has received a regional award in Catalonia.

The Tarragona-based restaurant group Grup El Pòsit has been honored with a national award at the 3rd edition of the Hostelería #PorElClima 2026 Awards, in the Innovation category. This award acknowledges its track record in sustainability and the implementation of measures to reduce environmental impact across its establishments in Tarragona and Cambrils.
The awards, promoted by Hostelería #PorElClima, recognize companies and institutions in the hospitality sector committed to combating climate change. The award ceremony took place at the Gran Teatro Príncipe Pío in Madrid.
The jury highlighted Grup El Pòsit's implementation of over 30 measures focused on energy efficiency, water saving, and responsible consumption, achieving a 30.58% reduction in emissions, equivalent to 20.81 tons of CO₂ annually.
Regionally, the hotel L’Algadir del Delta received the Catalan regional award for its environmental commitment in the Ebro Delta, joining other Catalan establishments honored in previous editions.
The organization emphasized that these awards aim to drive the sector's transformation towards more sustainable models, with nearly 20,000 establishments across Spain currently participating.
