Low-cost carrier Ryanair has unveiled its 2026 summer schedule for Reus Airport, featuring 12 routes and a 6% increase in seat capacity compared to the previous year.

Starting in March, the airline will operate approximately 70 weekly flights, focusing on key markets such as the United Kingdom and Ireland. These connections are vital for the tourism industry in the Costa Daurada region.

"Ryanair wants to expand in Catalan regional airports, but Aena's tax system is damaging Reus's potential to grow in the low season."

Despite the growth, Ryanair criticized Aena's airport fees, claiming they prevent the establishment of a permanent base in Reus. The company has called on the Ministry of Transport to intervene to ensure the competitiveness of regional hubs.
