Laboral Kutxa has inaugurated a new office in Sabadell, reinforcing its commitment to Vallès Occidental with the goal of improving proximity to clients and businesses in the region.

The cooperative financial entity Laboral Kutxa officially inaugurated its new office in Sabadell this Tuesday, an event that gathered nearly a hundred people, including employees, clients, and representatives from key business and economic entities in Vallès Occidental, such as Cecot and Pimec.
This opening symbolizes the entity's commitment to the city and the region, as part of its expansion plan in Catalonia. Laboral Kutxa's territorial director in Catalonia, Eduardo Elizalde, highlighted that the new headquarters is more than just a bank branch. "Today we are not opening an office; we are opening a new door to proximity, trust, and commitment to the people, families, and businesses of Sabadell and Vallès Occidental," he stated.
Elizalde recalled the origins of Caja Laboral, founded in 1959 with the mission to "change the company to change society." He emphasized that this cooperative spirit, based on proximity and social responsibility, remains central to their business model. "We want to be an honest bank, a close bank, a responsible bank. A bank that cares for people, clients, and society. Our people are partners, and this cooperative character generates something very special: pride of belonging," he remarked.
The arrival in Sabadell is part of the entity's territorial expansion strategy, which plans for a network of 15 offices for individuals and two specialized in businesses. "As part of this expansion, a city like Sabadell, with its enormous industrial and business tradition, could not be missed," said Elizalde, expressing the entity's desire to establish roots in the territory: "We don't just want to be in Sabadell, we want to be part of Sabadell".
For his part, the director of the new Sabadell office, César Amate, emphasized the city's economic and social potential, noting its economic and demographic growth, as well as a "very important" cooperative fabric. He indicated that the initial response from businesses and individuals has been "very positive," suggesting the need for "another partner" in the area.
Concluding the event, the Director General of Social Economy and Cooperatives of the Generalitat, David Bonvehí, advocated for the role of cooperativism and social economy in the development of Catalonia. He highlighted that Laboral Kutxa's expansion reinforces an "increasingly important" economic model and acknowledged the influence of Basque cooperativism and the Mondragon group as an international benchmark.
