The first edition of Barcelona4Impact, driven by Esade, Norrsken Barcelona, and Fundación Ship2B in collaboration with Barcelona City Council, has presented its program. The event will bring together more than 60 activities over a week, promoted by 72 organizations, companies, and entities from the impact ecosystem.
The main objective is to connect and give visibility to the existing impact ecosystem in Barcelona, facilitating new connections between entrepreneurs, investors, companies, universities, social organizations, and institutions. It seeks to foster knowledge exchange and collaboration opportunities.
Throughout the week, the city will host events focused on social, environmental, and economic challenges, including topics such as climate, sustainability, health, education, equality, technology, impact investment, entrepreneurship, and circular economy.
More than 8,000 participants are expected, including professionals, entrepreneurs, investors, students, and interested citizens. The represented impact investment funds total approximately 1.5 billion euros in active capital in Catalonia.
It is estimated that Barcelona4Impact will generate an economic contribution exceeding 4 million euros for the city, considering organizational expenses and those of participants who travel specifically for the event.
The driving entities highlight the need to connect Barcelona's ecosystem to generate new opportunities. With this initiative, Barcelona reinforces its ambition to consolidate itself as a European impact hub, thanks to the commitment of organizations, talent, knowledge, and capital.
