The island of Tenerife will become the epicenter of global viticulture by hosting the first edition of the Island Wine Summit from June 21 to 23, 2026.

The event, organized by Madrid Fusión Alimentos de España and Vocento Gastronomía, is supported by the Cabildo de Tenerife and Turismo de Tenerife. The summit aims to boost the island's international profile, linking its brand to values such as sustainability, excellence, and local identity.
Over three days, the congress will address the challenges and opportunities of wines produced in island territories. Key themes will include the influence of volcanic origin, altitude, salinity, and native grape varieties on the creation of unique wine profiles.
The program will feature lectures, masterclasses, and high-level professional meetings, aimed at both winemakers interested in marketing techniques and sommeliers and gastronomy experts. The initiative seeks to strengthen Tenerife's position as a world-class enogastronomic destination.
Confirmed speakers include renowned figures in specialized journalism and international sommellerie, who will share their insights on the future of island wines. This congress marks a decisive step following the preliminary event held last November at the Hotel Iberostar Heritage Grand Mencey.
