Founded in 1925, Talleres Quintana has journeyed through more than a hundred years of industrial evolution. Initially focused on maintaining truck fleets for mail delivery in Tenerife, the company has diversified its services to become a benchmark in industrial maintenance and repair, with specialization in the naval and industrial sectors.
Nicolás Quintana, manager and fourth-generation leader, explains that the company operates on three fundamental pillars: welding, mechanics, and machining. "In each of these units, we have different work teams that allow us to combine the services most needed by both general industry and the specific repair sector," he details, emphasizing how this structure facilitates tailored responses to client demands.
The versatility of Talleres Quintana allows them to undertake unusual projects, even those related to research or decoration. "We work with many artists, designers… Ultimately, we have very versatile equipment and machinery, which enables us to tackle many projects, even if they are not what we are typically known for," states Quintana, highlighting the company's ability to go beyond its usual assignments.
Technological evolution has been key, transitioning from machinery powered by large gasoline engines to modern electrical systems. "Today, we talk about machines that simply plug into an outlet and run on electricity," notes the manager. Despite advancements, the projects that most attract the company are those that present a challenge and push them out of their "comfort zone," solidifying complex projects as one of their hallmarks.
Collaboration with Proexca has been crucial for the international expansion of Talleres Quintana, facilitating access to trade fairs, clients, and the European market. Looking ahead, the company plans to follow a strategy of improvement and investment, adapting to the changing market situation.
