The municipal company Sagulpa has initiated a digital selection process to recruit temporary staff to reinforce the regulated parking service (SER) in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, aiming to optimize urban mobility management.

The main objective of this initiative is to improve operations on public roads and citizen assistance in the capital of Gran Canaria. New hires will be temporary and activated according to service needs, seeking to adjust operational capacity to daily demand.
The Regulated Parking Service (SER) is a key tool for urban mobility management, facilitating vehicle rotation and access to parking in high-demand areas. Currently, the system manages over 7,000 regulated spaces and operates more than 300 parking meters, according to data provided by the entity.
Street staff play a crucial role in the daily operation of the system, providing direct assistance to users, resolving queries, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This work, according to Sagulpa, has a direct impact on both the citizen experience and the organization of urban space.

"Reinforcing the regulated parking service team means continuing to improve how the city functions day by day. It is a service that organizes public space, facilitates access to parking, and enhances people's experience when moving around the city."

José Eduardo Ramírez · Councillor for Mobility of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council
The call for applications will be conducted through a “structured and accessible” model available on the Sagulpa website (www.sagulpa.com), initially managed via a digital platform. This format represents a novelty in how such processes are approached, aiming to facilitate participation and streamline initial stages.
The first phase of the process includes a skills test and a specific test on the municipal regulated parking ordinance, designed to evaluate the necessary competencies and knowledge for the position. Subsequently, depending on the results and service needs, the procedure may be completed with a personal interview to assess aspects such as adaptability and service orientation.
