The document details significant investments in several Canary Islands ports. At the Port of Las Palmas, works will be carried out for the extension of the Reina Sofía Sur dock (20.5 million euros), the creation of a new dock attached to this one (43 million euros), and the expansion of the Muelle Juan Sebastián Elcano (50 million euros) for offshore wind and renewable energies. Breakwaters will also be built to improve bunkering services, with an investment of 17.5 million euros.
At the Port of Puerto del Rosario, in Fuerteventura, the Muelle Comercial dock will be extended (44.2 million euros) to enhance cruise terminal operations, and a ro-ro ramp will be constructed (3 million euros). Additionally, 2 million euros will be allocated to condition facilities for a commercial route to Tarfaya, and another 2 million for providing electrical connectivity to inter-island docks.
For the Port of Arrecife, in Lanzarote, alternatives for the extension of the Cruise Dock are being designed, and 2 million euros will be invested in electrical connectivity. The access area to the south counter-dock will also be conditioned (460,000 euros) to improve safety and operability.
Finally, at the Port of Arinaga, in Gran Canaria, an esplanade of approximately 5 hectares will be built adjacent to the Muelle de Agüimes (50 million euros) for the operations of ships transporting parts for wind turbine installations. Another 2 million euros will be invested in the development of expansion land.
