León y Castillo business association launches new brand to boost local commerce

The group seeks greater visibility in the center of the Gran Canaria capital through an institutional modernization plan.

The León y Castillo-Arenales open commercial zone business association has unveiled a new corporate identity aimed at strengthening its presence in the center of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

The group, which brings together nearly 50 establishments, has promoted this change to adapt to the growth experienced in recent years. The entity, which began its activity shortly before the pandemic, has expanded its scope beyond León y Castillo street, integrating businesses located on roads such as Luis Doreste Silva and Tomás Morales.
The official presentation took place at the Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce. According to the association's leadership, the goal is to consolidate a multi-sector area that combines retail trade with catering and proximity to the capital's main official bodies, such as the City Council and the Island Council.
This initiative is part of a revitalization program for open commercial zones funded by the Gran Canaria Island Council. The island institution has allocated funds to support a total of 26 similar projects across the island, seeking to improve competitiveness and customer attraction in urban environments.
