The Kilometer Zero Gran Canaria Fair has launched its 37th edition in Valleseco, gathering 45 producers from across the island to promote local products and sustainability.

The municipality of Valleseco is hosting the Kilometer Zero Gran Canaria Fair this weekend, an event that has become a fundamental pillar for promoting local products and responsible consumption. The gathering, held in Plaza de San Vicente Ferrer, features the participation of 45 producers from 16 municipalities across the island.
The inauguration of this 37th edition was attended by the counselor of Economic Development of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and the mayor of the municipality. During the tour of the various stalls, the counselor highlighted the fair's importance as a driving force for the primary sector and the local economy.

"The Km.0 Fair is a clear example of how local products generate economy, identity, and opportunities in our municipalities. Here, the work of those who produce on the island is valued, and direct contact with citizens is facilitated."

This is the second time Valleseco has hosted the fair, reaffirming its relevance in insular agri-food production, especially in cider making. This edition includes two local cider houses, along with other producers from the municipality who showcase the area's productive richness.
The fair has incorporated six new producers, joining the more than 380 participants who have been part of previous editions, demonstrating the growth and consolidation of this initiative. The Kilometer Zero Gran Canaria Fair is made possible through collaboration between the Valleseco City Council and the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, via the Gran Canaria Me Gusta program, managed by the Chamber of Commerce of Gran Canaria.
Among the main objectives of this initiative are boosting the local economy, promoting the consumption of proximity products, fostering sustainable habits, and supporting those who contribute to preserving the island's landscape and identity.
