The sale of these vouchers will begin at 12:00 PM through a digital platform, with the goal of injecting nearly 5 million euros into the archipelago's commercial sector. Over 2,190 establishments have already joined the program, and the campaign will run for two months.
“"At a time when it is essential to continue strengthening our small establishments, this program directly helps families and also thousands of self-employed individuals and small businesses that generate employment and keep the Canarian commercial fabric alive."
Each voucher has a face value of 50 euros, of which the consumer contributes 25 euros, and the remainder is financed by the General Directorate of Commerce and Consumption of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the Chambers of Commerce. A total of 97,918 vouchers have been made available across all islands.
The vouchers are nominative, non-transferable, and non-refundable, and can only be used for in-person purchases at participating establishments on the island where they were acquired. Users must be of legal age, identify themselves with their DNI, and can purchase a maximum of four vouchers per island, allowing them to spend up to 200 euros by investing only 100 euros.
Participating businesses include electronics stores, food markets, computer and phone shops, DIY stores, toy shops, fashion and accessories, and sports stores. Large department stores, food distribution chains, and certain national or international franchises are excluded. Each participating establishment can redeem a maximum of 5,000 euros in vouchers, with the possibility of extension.
