The municipal company Turismo de Ronda, S. A., under the Municipal Tourism Department, held a working meeting with representatives from Oman, specifically members of its Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and Sultan Qaboos University. They expressed interest in the city's tourism management model.
The Omani delegation was received by the manager of Turismo de Ronda, Javier Criado, who outlined the main lines of work developed by the City Council, through the aforementioned municipal company, in tourism management, promotion, and development.
During the day, the delegation had the opportunity to experience Ronda firsthand as a tourist destination and learn about its management model. The meeting facilitated the exchange of experiences, best practices, and analysis of potential collaboration avenues. The Omani representatives enjoyed a guided tour of the city, exploring its historical and cultural heritage, main monuments, and gastronomy.
Turismo de Ronda highlights the enriching nature of this encounter, which has strengthened institutional and professional ties and advanced the creation of new synergies between both destinations, as well as exploring future avenues for tourism cooperation.
This working trip by Oman to Ronda is part of an itinerary that includes other Andalusian and Spanish cities such as Málaga, Sevilla, Madrid, and Barcelona. Ronda's selection underscores its positioning as a reference destination and the interest sparked by its historical and cultural heritage, as well as its local tourism management model.
Recently, Turismo de Ronda also held a working meeting with agents from the Costa Dorada, who also expressed interest in its tourism management model.
