A total of 4,192 people downloaded vouchers and 105 establishments participated in this first call, which utilized €98,980 of the municipal budget. The initiative had an initial allocation of €100,000, leaving a remainder of €1,020 from unused vouchers. Two of the initial 107 business applications were rejected due to administrative errors.
The Councilor for Promotion and Business Development, María de la O Redondo, highlighted that the objective of tripling the municipal investment was exceeded, approaching a fourfold increase and reaching almost €380,000 in sales. The platform registered 16,546 operations and 4,281 users, of whom 4,192 accessed the aid.
According to the data, 1,003 people used their full €60 allowance, while 1,309 used their vouchers partially. The new platform allows for more comprehensive reports on user behavior, data not available in previous campaigns, which will facilitate precise comparisons for the next call.
Participating establishments have positively assessed the campaign, held in June, a period when many family celebrations had concluded and the sales period had not yet fully begun. The Lucena City Council has completed the payment of remittances to businesses, with a final pending transfer of €17,700.
The City Council has opened the application period until July 15th for new establishments to join the second Consumption Voucher campaign 2026, scheduled for October. Businesses that already participated do not need to reapply, but those that started their activity later or did not complete their documentation in the first phase must do so. Applications are available on the municipal website.
