The province of Granada has shattered its export record during the first quarter of 2026, reaching 522 million euros, a ten percent increase compared to the same period last year.

Vegetables have solidified their position as the main export product, generating 135 million euros and showing growth above 27%. This is closely followed by Granadan olive oil, with 59 million euros invoiced between January and March.
A notable highlight is the significant surge in the export of arms, ammunition, and their accessories, which saw a 166% increase compared to the previous year, reaching 61 million euros and ranking among the top-selling products. This boom is linked to the activity of the El Fargue ammunition factory in the province.
Other sectors with strong performance include miscellaneous food preparations (40 million euros), fruits (37 million), fertilizers, which grew by 50% to 17.8 million, and machinery, apparatus, and electrical material, with a 37% advance and sales of 14.1 million euros.
The territorial delegate for Economy, Finance, European Funds, and Industry, Energy, and Mines in Granada, Gumersindo Fernández Casas, described this achievement as a "new historical record," consolidating the "strength and competitiveness of Granada's export sector" and the "positive" trajectory initiated in 2024.
Granadan products are reaching 146 countries, with Germany being the main market with 85 million euros in operations, followed by Slovakia, France, the Netherlands, and Italy.
Fernández Casas encouraged local companies to utilize the services of Andalucía Trade for their internationalization projects, noting that over 196 companies did so in 2025, nearly half of the province's regular exporters.
