A total of 19 companies from the Province of Córdoba are competing in the tenth edition of the 2026 SME of the Year Award, convened by the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Córdoba and Banco Santander.

The jury met today to evaluate the candidacies and awarded the main prize, four honorable mentions in the categories of internationalization, digitalization and innovation, training and employment, and sustainable SME. As a novelty, a Special Mention “Business Legacy” has been incorporated to recognize SMEs with outstanding long-term trajectories.
The meeting was attended by the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Córdoba, Antonio Díaz; the director of the Western Andalusia Business Network of Banco Santander, Ignacio Pinilla; the manager of the Provincial Institute for Economic Development (Iprodeco), Gonzalo Esparza; and the director of Diario Córdoba, Rafael Romero.
Antonio Díaz highlighted the role of SMEs as “the true economic engine and social pillar of our province,” emphasizing their contribution to the well-being of the Cordoban society.
The winners will be announced at an award ceremony scheduled for October. The provincial winning company and the winners of the honorable mentions will compete for the National SME of the Year Award 2026, to be decided in early 2027.
The award is open to small and medium-sized enterprises with fewer than 250 employees, an annual turnover below 50 million euros, and their registered office in the Province of Córdoba.
