According to recent data from AENA, in March, Córdoba Airport recorded 4,784 passengers, representing an impressive year-on-year increase of 987.3%. This figure places it ahead of other national airport facilities such as León, Algeciras, Logroño, Albacete, and Salamanca.
Regarding the volume of operations, Córdoba Airport registered 1,563 movements during March, a 25% increase compared to the same period last year. This data places it in a middle position nationally, surpassing airports such as Zaragoza, San Sebastián, Pamplona, Valladolid, El Hierro, Vitoria, and Santiago de Compostela.
March has been the most outstanding month in the first quarter of the year for the airport, with 4,784 passengers, exceeding the 4,114 in January and 3,017 in February. In terms of operations, the sum of January (608) and February (526) is lower than the March figure, which reached 1,563 aircraft.
The cumulative passenger total between January and March amounts to 11,915, representing an 854% growth compared to the same period last year, multiplying traffic by nine. This record is largely attributed to the consolidation of operations by airlines such as Binter and Vueling, which have maintained regular routes to the Canary Islands and Barcelona over the past year.
Despite the success in passenger traffic, the number of operations has experienced a year-on-year decrease of 31.3%, with a total of 2,697 aircraft taking off or landing on the Cordovan runway in the accumulated first quarter.
Furthermore, Binter has announced new promotional fares for flights between Córdoba and the Canary Islands. Tickets can be purchased until April 27 for travel between September 15 and March 31, 2027, with prices starting from 65 euros per leg when purchasing a round trip, including a stopover in Gran Canaria.
