The Carcabuey City Council has approved the expansion of the San Nicasio potato chip factory, a decision that strengthens the town's industrial fabric and aligns with territorial sustainability.

The decision, made during the municipal plenary session on January 30, represents a significant step for the economic development of Carcabuey. The approval of the expansion project for the San Nicasio potato chip factory follows a prior declaration of public interest for the action, as confirmed by this newspaper.
The official resolution, signed by Mayor Juan Miguel Sánchez, responds to the request submitted by Rafael del Rosal López, founder and representative of the renowned entity. This expansion will be strategically located in the El Anear area, occupying plots 4, 17, and 18 of Industrial Estate 6, adjacent to kilometer 19 of the A-339 road.
The procedure is framed within Law 7/2021 for the Promotion of Territorial Sustainability in Andalusia (LISTA), ensuring that industrial growth is compatible with environmental preservation. With this initiative, Carcabuey continues to consolidate its industrial base with a company that has demonstrated its leadership in the sector.
