The Municipal Transport Company of Cordoba, S.A. (Aucorsa) has opened the contracting procedure for the repair of bodywork for public transport vehicles and the auxiliary fleet. File 17/2026 will regulate the sheet metal, paint, and glass interventions necessary to rectify damage from intensive vehicle use and road accidents within the municipal area.
It is required that the awarded workshop be located in Cordoba capital to ensure service continuity and agility, and reduce travel times. The facilities must be capable of repairing at least two vehicles simultaneously, with sufficient space for articulated buses, an industrial paint booth equipped with gas treatment systems, and strict compliance with hazardous waste management regulations.
The contract is divided into two lots: Lot 1 for the main fleet of 129 buses (including minibuses, standard models, and articulated units) and Lot 2 for the company's 26 auxiliary vehicles. An estimated volume of 250 to 300 annual work orders is foreseen, with the vast majority of interventions on urban buses. Historically, 58% of incidents involve exterior damage, 23% glass replacement, 8% signaling elements, 8% interior and accessibility components, and 3% accessory finishes.
Vehicle transport logistics will be handled by Aucorsa drivers, with external transport via crane or other means reserved only as a complementary option if necessary. Ordinary repairs have a maximum delivery time of five business days per vehicle. The workshop must maintain a permanent stock of common spare parts and activate a weekend standby service during periods of high transport demand. All repairs will be covered by a 12-month warranty.
The base budget for the contract is 560,000 euros (excluding taxes), but the estimated value amounts to 1,232,000 euros considering the projected duration, possible extensions, and operational needs of the municipal fleet. Interested companies have until September 21, 2026, at 14:00 to submit offers electronically.
