The business, severely impacted by the fire that broke out last Friday in the Cajiz industrial estate in Vélez-Málaga, has completely lost its premises. The blaze, which originated in a textile warehouse, spread rapidly due to the wind, incinerating five warehouses, including that of the ice cream company.
“"We are a humble, hardworking, and resilient family; we are not asking for charity to live, we are asking for support to continue working."
The company's management has expressed their devastation but also their strong determination to continue their activity. They have requested support in the form of a temporary facility, a new location, or machinery to enable them to resume production and maintain their client base, which has been built with great effort over time. The company employs between eight and ten people.
The fire started after 4:30 PM on Friday in an industrial textile warehouse in Cajiz. The flames affected five warehouses, with two active foci that were brought under control hours later. Firefighters from Vélez-Málaga, Rincón de la Victoria, Nerja, and Colmenar participated in the extinguishing efforts, supported by a water tanker from the Vélez-Málaga City Council. Fortunately, no personal injuries were reported.
