The Getafe City Council, through its municipal company Getafe Iniciativas (GISA), has opened the call for the 2026 Trade Fund, aimed at financing projects by associations seeking to strengthen local retail, hospitality, and tourism.

These grants are designed to support initiatives carried out between January 1, 2026, and January 31, 2027, with the possibility of extending the deadline until March 31, 2027. Eligible projects range from job creation and the promotion of local products to sustainable practices, digitalization, female entrepreneurship, and the overall improvement of the commercial sector's image.
Funding can cover up to 100% of each project's budget. The general maximum limit is 15,000 euros per initiative. However, for the organization of fairs, markets, or actions involving more than 400 establishments, the aid can increase to 25,000 euros. Projects of special interest and tourist relevance may receive up to 35,000 euros.

"These aids always go hand in hand with merchant associations, to get closer to their true needs and be able to offer them a whole battery of proposals to strengthen this economic and social fabric so important in the neighborhoods."

Additionally, since last March, young people in Getafe born in 2007, who turn 18, can benefit from the 50-euro Youth Voucher. This voucher is intended for use in small businesses in the municipality, including bookstores, stationery shops, sports clothing stores, fashion outlets, hairdressers, beauty salons (including tattoo studios), shoe stores, computer shops, video game stores, board game shops, and cinemas. To facilitate its use, the voucher is managed through the Tarjeta Ciudad Getafe mobile application, which will incorporate new functionalities for municipal activities in the future.
