The Madrid City Council has launched a 500,000-euro aid program to boost business projects in strategic sectors such as logistics, cybersecurity, digital health, and artificial intelligence, with an application deadline of May 8.

The call, which opened this Thursday, allows clusters and business groups to apply for grants of up to 120,000 euros per project. These aids seek to foster innovation and competitiveness in the capital's economy, covering areas such as Big Data, construction, architecture, engineering, fintech, and insurtech.
The initiative is part of the 2014-2027 Strategic Subsidy Plan and is structured into two main modalities. The first is aimed at the consolidation and structural strengthening of cluster-type associations, offering up to 25,000 euros per entity. These funds can be used for actions such as increasing the number of associates, institutional development, communication, or sponsorship acquisition.
The second modality focuses on projects with a direct impact on the city's economy, potentially reaching 120,000 euros per initiative. Each association can submit a maximum of two projects. The City Council will finance studies, pilot projects, analyses, and the development of products, goods, and services linked to the sectors represented by these groups.
Proposals must aim to improve the competitiveness of associated companies, focusing on aspects such as technological innovation, optimization of management processes, distribution and commercialization, productive improvements, studies for common infrastructures, the development or modification of quality standards and norms, strategic or technological surveillance systems, and market and competition analysis.
