This digital tool is designed to bring local finances closer to residents, allowing them to transparently consult, in a graphical and intuitive manner, the sources of municipal income and the exact allocation of public resources.
The platform, now fully operational, can be accessed via the domain pressupostos.xativa.es or through the official City Council website (xativa.es), under the «Ajuntament – Pressupostos» section. With this launch, the capital of La Costera aims to strengthen accountability and simplify access to data that is often complex to understand in traditional official documents.
The viewer's key feature is its ability to break down information from various perspectives. The «Global Vision» section provides a quick overview of the City Council's economic scale, while the «Policies» section allows users to filter and analyze specific spending items or income types. The most engaging function for citizens is the interactive «My Taxes» feature, where residents can input their municipal tax payments to receive a percentage breakdown showing how their money is allocated to services like sanitation, education, culture, or security. The viewer is updated quarterly with budget execution information.
In line with its open data commitment, all information on the platform is downloadable in reusable formats, facilitating analysis for researchers, journalists, or community groups interested in the municipality's economic management.
