The city of Villena is launching its Business Meetings initiative with a first day dedicated to the agricultural and water sector. Under the title Challenges and opportunities of the agricultural sector ‘Cultivating the future’, this meeting aims to be a space for reflection and collaboration among professionals, companies, and institutions linked to the agricultural sector.
The Councilor for Economic Development, Paula García, and the director of the Caixa Popular branch in Villena, María Sanjuán, have presented this initiative. The event, promoted by the Villena City Council through the Promotion and Development Cabinet and with the collaboration of Caixa Popular, aims to highlight key voices in the sector and their experiences and opportunities.
The program includes a presentation by Paco Borras on the agri-food and wine sector, debate panels on ‘Agriculture in transformation’ and ‘Water and future’, and the presentation of experiences from local companies. Additionally, a business networking space will be offered to conclude the day.
Participation requires prior registration through an online form. The Villena Business Meetings are established as annual, multi-sector events designed to stimulate and promote local and regional economic sectors.
As the councilor stated, the goal is to “bring to the table the role and concerns of the different productive sectors of Villena and its Region.” Caixa Popular, for its part, emphasizes the importance of agriculture for the territory's development, encouraging participation to “learn, exchange experiences, and continue building the future of our agriculture together.”
