Valencian Industry Turnover Falls 1.3% in February

The Valencian Community records a smaller decline than the national average, with a 2.8% decrease year-to-date.

The turnover of industry in the Valencian Community experienced a 1.3% decrease in February compared to the previous year, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE).

This reduction is 1.4 percentage points lower than the national average, which registered a 2.7% drop in the same period. The data shows a downward trend in the Valencian industrial sector, although with a more favorable performance than Spain as a whole.
At the national level, some autonomous communities achieved increases in their turnover. Madrid led the rises with +3.7%, followed by Castilla y León with +3.4% and Cantabria with +2.4%. Conversely, the most significant declines were observed in the Balearic Islands (-19.3%), Asturias (-11.7%), and Extremadura (-9.2%).
So far this year, the turnover of industry in the Valencian Community has accumulated a decrease of 2.8%. This figure represents a difference of 1.7 percentage points compared to the national average, which stands at -4.5%, indicating greater resilience of the Valencian industrial fabric against the general trend.
