“"Spain and Latin America concentrate one of the world's largest agri-food capacities. To reinforce this strategic position and build a bridge of innovation and cooperation between both regions, we are holding our Summit in September in two key cities: Valencia and Mexico City. In a context of profound transformation of the food system, where technology, geopolitics, and changes in consumption habits are redefining the rules of the game, ftalks seeks to address these challenges through collaboration and innovation, with the aim of ensuring fair and delicious food for all."

The Km Zero Food Innovation Hub is making September a key month for the future of food, with a double edition of ftalks: The Food Changemakers Summit in Valencia and Mexico City.
This event, considered the leading forum on the future of food in Europe and Latin America, will take place on September 16 in Valencia and on September 29 in Mexico City. These two gatherings will bring together the international community of leaders driving the transformation of the food system, connecting key authoritative voices and decision-makers in the sector.
The ftalks 2026 agenda will focus on topics such as the humanization of AI and its impact on the food system, geopolitics and food sovereignty, key technologies that will define the future of production and industry, and future consumption habits.
In this regard, the events will once again bring together some of the most important voices in the global agri-food sector. Among the first confirmed for the Valencia edition are personalities such as the CEO of Grupo Central Lechera Asturiana and Vice President of FIAB, the President of Fundación Chile and co-founder of one of the fastest-growing biotech startups in Latin America, an advisor and ambassador for the blue economy recognized in 2026 as a “Leading Woman in Blue Economy”, and a world reference in agricultural research in plant genetics and sustainability linked to UC Davis and CIFOR-ICRAF.
Valencia and Mexico City are preparing for their annual appointment with the future of food. ftalks Food Summit has gathered, throughout its editions, more than 50,000 attendees, 600 startups, 500 corporations, 100 investors, and 500 speakers from over 30 countries. With this double event in September, Km Zero reinforces its role as a connector between the food innovation ecosystems of Europe and Latin America, creating a common space where industry, science, investment, startups, and institutions converge to generate knowledge, foster alliances, and accelerate projects with real impact.
The connection between these territories is no coincidence. Europe has an already consolidated agrifoodtech ecosystem, while Latin America's is in full expansion, with enormous potential as the world's largest net food exporter, hosting nearly 40% of global biodiversity and around 30% of water resources.
Within this framework, ftalks Food Summit Valencia will celebrate its 8th edition on September 16 at Las Naves and La Mutant, which Km Zero will once again transform into a meeting point to experience the future of food. Beyond the agenda of talks and workshops, the event will also feature the already consolidated Future Market, where national and international startups will present their technologies with demos and offer tastings of innovative foods and beverages; and the Future Lunch, a meal designed to discover, also from the table, what tomorrow's food will be like. Additionally, it will have an exclusive networking area, integrated with its digital platform, where attendees can connect with members of its community.
For its part, ftalks LATAM has consolidated itself as a connection point between Latin America's innovative potential and a global network of corporations, investment funds, and sector specialists. In its 5th edition, the event will return on September 29 to Mexico City, renewing its collaboration with Deloitte and with The Foodtech Summit & Expo, the largest food innovation fair in Latin America. Within the framework of the fair, the value proposition promoted by Km Zero will also extend on September 30 and October 1 with the Future Market, which this edition will reach a new milestone by bringing together 50 agrifoodtech startups from around the world, allowing attendees to discover firsthand what proposals could soon reach the market.
Both events will bring back the ftalks Startup Awards, which annually recognize the most disruptive and promising agrifoodtech startups in categories such as Innovation and Sustainability. Participating startups will have the opportunity to present their projects to executives from large agri-food companies, sector experts, and specialized investment funds, as well as to hold meetings and establish connections with key ecosystem players in designated spaces within the event.
