The workforce, comprising 79 people (35 at Tutto Piccolo and the rest at a subsidiary), sees the future of their jobs hanging in the balance. After a period without production, a liquidation process and an ERE (Employment Regulation File) for termination are expected within the bankruptcy proceedings, which are still awaiting judicial approval and the appointment of a bankruptcy administrator.
Deep concern about the company's lack of liquidity, which generates uncertainty regarding its ability to meet outstanding payments, including salaries, arrears, and indemnities.
Employees emphasize that they remain contractually linked to the company, which prevents them from accessing unemployment benefits, further aggravating their economic and personal situation. This week, they are on paid leave, as agreed with the company, and should return to work from April 21.
However, the lack of production could lead to further paid leave until the bankruptcy administration clarifies the future. The transfer of the Tutto Piccolo brand's exploitation to the Catalan group Talaman might save some jobs linked to sales points, but not the rest of the workforce, including employees who have been with the firm since its inception in 1982.
