Logistics operations in the Aguamarga business park in Alicante are set to advance with the new headquarters of the Valencian company Teika. Specializing in vending, Teika has been granted permission to build facilities designed to optimize the supply of its food distribution machines throughout the province. These new premises will replace its current centers in Ibi, Benidorm, and Torrellano (Elche).
Teika acquired the plot on Benimeli street, formerly the site of Freiremar, in 2024. Following the demolition permit granted in January 2025, the 6,000-square-meter site was cleared. Now, the Urban Planning Department has issued the license for Teika's project, which includes two virtually identical twin warehouses intended for different purposes.
The project has an estimated execution period of one year, although a specific start date has not yet been set. Construction itself is not expected to commence in the immediate future, according to company sources. The investment in construction exceeds 1.7 million euros, excluding the cost of machinery and equipment, which will include cold storage units.
The first warehouse will house Teika's logistics center, while the second is planned to be leased to a third party for logistics activities. Both warehouses will feature separate loading docks. Teika's facility will serve for storing, organizing, and distributing packaged food products, and during nighttime hours, it will be used for the indoor parking of distribution vans. Additionally, it will include administrative offices, a meeting room, a canteen, and changing rooms.
The launch of the logistics center will create an initial workforce of 25 employees. Teika, which already employs over 300 people and operates more than 9,000 points of sale nationwide, emphasizes its "healthy and sustainable" vending offering, featuring fresh products prepared at its own facility in El Real de Gandía.
