This call continues the mobilizations initiated on March 26, 2026, when the Alicante staff led a first day of strike in defense of maintaining telework, achieving an estimated participation of 87%.
Since then, various mediation attempts have been held, both at regional and national levels, without the company showing a real willingness to negotiate. The most recent meeting before the Interconfederal Mediation and Arbitration Service (SIMA) concluded without agreement, solidifying the conflict scenario.
“"The lack of corporate coherence is evident: while telework is eliminated in Alicante, remote work models have been imposed in other centers after their closure. This contradiction confirms that telework is not only viable but also responds to arbitrary organizational decisions."
The strike day on April 30 will be coordinated across different workplaces in the country, affecting approximately 1,400 people in Spain, of whom about 300 work at the Alicante center. In the case of Alicante and Valencia, the stoppages will take place between 10 AM and 2 PM.
The staff denounces that the suppression of telework directly affects the reconciliation of personal and work life, increases the economic costs for workers, and represents a setback in rights consolidated over years.
