The Savia Innova initiative, in collaboration with The Terminal Hub, seeks innovative solutions to improve the quality of life and well-being of the elderly, especially in residential environments.

Savia Residencias has launched Savia Innova 2026, an open innovation initiative aimed at identifying and fostering solutions to improve the quality of life, autonomy, and well-being of the elderly, with a special focus on residential settings. This third edition features the collaboration of The Terminal Hub, a benchmark in innovation and technology located in the Marina of Valencia, and its technological partner ISECO by Sensio.
This alliance will enable Savia to connect with startups, researchers, universities, and industry professionals to address current challenges in residential care. "Innovation is one of Savia's strategic pillars, and we want to remain close to talent, entrepreneurship, and research to continuously improve our care model and provide better tools for our professionals," stated Alfredo Sanmartín, Chief Financial Officer and Head of Savia's Innovation Committee.
The initiative is structured into two main lines: Savia Emprende, targeting startups and entrepreneurs nationwide developing innovative solutions for the socio-health sector; and Savia Investiga, focusing on completed research, such as defended theses or postdoctoral work, related to the elderly, person-centered care, technology in care, or artificial intelligence.
The call for applications for both categories will be open until October 15th, with submissions accepted through Savia's website. The winners will be announced at the end of October, and the awards will be presented at the SaviAvanza forum later this year. As a new feature, SAVIAINNTALENT, an internal hackathon for professionals from Savia's 22 centers, will be held on June 26th and 27th at The Terminal Hub.
"With Savia Innova 2026, we aim to further consolidate a culture of open, participatory innovation connected to the reality of our centers. Our goal is for the ideas generated, both from entrepreneurship and research as well as from our own teams, to become real solutions that help us move towards a more personalized, humane, and sustainable care model," concluded Sanmartín.
Savia currently operates 22 centers across the provinces of Castellón, Valencia, and Alicante, offering over 2,600 residential places and employing more than 1,500 professionals. The company accounts for approximately 10% of the total residential places in the Valencian Community and ranks among the top 12 groups in Spain.
