SafeComp 2026 has successfully concluded its first edition in Spain after four days of technical presentations, knowledge exchange, and discussions among international experts. The conference, held from September 22 to 25, was organized by the Fault Tolerant Systems Group at the ITACA Institute of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), led by Juan Carlos Ruíz.
Under the theme ‘Engineering safe and sustainable computing systems’, participants presented advances and explored the challenges of developing safe, dependable, and sustainable critical systems. Strong participation and high-quality technical contributions marked this year’s edition.
The conference’s single-track format encouraged dialogue and exchange among attendees, creating opportunities for collaboration between research and industry.
