The Rojas Clemente Market, located in the El Botànic neighborhood of València, will undergo energy efficiency improvement works with a budget exceeding 700,000 euros and an execution period of 75 days.

This intervention, awarded by the Local Government Board, aims to optimize the operation and performance of the facilities, as well as reduce their energy consumption. According to a statement from the city council, a substantial improvement in the market's sustainability is sought.

"This intervention is part of an energy improvement plan for municipal markets promoted to apply advanced technologies and to improve the comfort of these spaces and rationalize energy consumption."

The Councillor for Markets, Santiago Ballester, detailed that the project includes the replacement of heating, ventilation, and lighting systems. Additionally, complementary actions will be carried out on enclosures, roofs, and carpentry to improve the hygrothermal comfort of the space, save energy, and contribute to the fight against climate change.
The company responsible for executing the works will be Genera Quatro S.L., which submitted the best offer and reduced the execution period to a feasible timeframe, according to the report from the Trade and Markets Service.
The Rojas Clemente Market is a municipal facility with a long history, established in the square that bears its name since 1963. It has a basement, ground floor, and first floor, totaling a built area of 2,476 square meters, of which 942 square meters are dedicated to the commercial sales area. The basement houses cold storage rooms and warehouses, while the first floor accommodates the market's administration.
