A total of twelve companies have decided to establish themselves in the Rodes Urban Technology Park, with ten of them already fully operational and two more expected to do so in May. This initial balance, after the first month of implementation, is considered positive, as reported by a manager responsible for the revitalization of the Rodes business area. Currently, sixteen workers are already located in the park, representing 25% of the sixty-four jobs initially estimated for the complex.
The firms and professionals who have settled in the park are primarily technology-based, covering areas such as digital marketing, ICT services, B2B solutions, the aeronautical sector, and technology consulting. In addition to SMEs and freelancers, the park also hosts professionals from outside Alcoy who telework and choose to locate in a coworking space to enjoy an office environment and foster collaboration.
“"Rodes is born with the vocation of being a true catalyst for entrepreneurship in Alcoy, a space where innovation, the new economy, and talent converge, and which allows for the generation of real opportunities for business projects with a future."
Companies that have opted for Rodes value the opportunity to grow, create synergies, and foster innovation in a space dedicated to technology. To facilitate this exchange, 'Café Rodes' is held twice a month, a meeting point to share experiences, projects, and ideas, and to learn how to manage the center's system.
The Alcoy City Council has awarded a company the task of revitalizing the park, with the aim of seeking new tenants and acting as a link between companies. The goal is to consolidate a balanced combination of startups, consolidated companies, and projects linked to public innovation, favoring collaboration and technology transfer. The presence of the municipal departments of Innovation and Smart City, and soon those of Economic Promotion, Commerce, and Youth, facilitates direct contact with the entrepreneurial fabric.
