This surplus will allow up to 3.3 million euros from the accumulated balance of previous years to be allocated to new investments. Last year's accounts recorded net recognized rights of 58.1 million euros and net recognized obligations of 40.3 million euros.
The budgetary result stood at 17.8 million euros. Technical reports confirm that budgetary adjustments totaled 13.2 million euros, resulting in the final surplus of 4.5 million euros.
It is worth noting that the 2025 accounts were marked by reconstruction efforts following the DANA of October 29, 2024, which affected 6 million square meters of land in industrial estates and residential areas such as la Reva, l'Oliveral, Els Pous, València la Vella, and the camí de les Ànimes. Municipal resources and subsidies from the Government of Spain and the Generalitat were used for these works.
Furthermore, technical reports confirm that the Riba-roja de Túria City Council has complied with all fiscal rules set by the Ministry of Finance, following the guidelines of the European Union. The budgetary stability rule is met with a financing capacity of 17 million euros.
The spending rule is also met, limiting the growth of public expenditures to ensure the financial stability of the local administration. Finally, last year's accounts closed with sustainable public debt, with a percentage of outstanding capital over current income of 31.62%, well below the 110% allowed by current legislation. The net savings of the city council were set at 2.4 million euros.
“"The results obtained in the settlement of last year's accounts certify the good work carried out last year at a time of great difficulty derived from the DANA of October 2024, which forced the implementation of reconstruction projects in all affected areas."
