Around 200 people participated in the IV Wine Show for professionals of the IGP Castellón, held this Monday at the Espai Cultural Obert Les Aules in Castellón, consolidating itself as a meeting point for the provincial wine sector. The event was aimed at professionals in restoration, distribution, sommellerie, and specialized trade, with the objective of facilitating direct contact between wineries and prescribers, as well as boosting the presence of the province's wines in the market.
Five wineries under the IGP Castellón umbrella participated in this edition: Cooperativa de Viver, Flors, Mas de Rander, L’Estanquer, and Bellmunt Oliver Viticultors. They presented various references and allowed attendees to taste wines from different areas of the territory and learn firsthand about the producers' work.
The event also featured institutional representation. Attendees included Mª Àngels Ramón Llin, Director of Agricultural and Livestock Production of the Ministry of Agriculture; María Luisa Albiol, Territorial Director of Agriculture in Castellón; Silvia Pastor, from the Viticultural Registry; Sergio Fornás, Deputy for the Primary Sector of the Provincial Council of Castellón; and Vicente Faro, President of the Committee of Organic Agriculture of the Valencian Community (CAECV).
The IGP Castellón highlighted the institutional support and professional participation as key elements for continuing to boost the positioning of Castellón wines in restaurants, specialized shops, and gastronomic spaces. The organization emphasized that the Show consolidates its role as a sectoral event, bringing together more professionals each year interested in a quality label that works for the origin, identity, and projection of the province's wines.
