Foreign investment in the Comunitat Valenciana multiplies in the first half of the year

Foreign capital exceeds 1.8 billion euros, with the food industry as the main driver.

Foreign investment in the Comunitat Valenciana has exceeded 1.8 billion euros in the first six months of 2026, a figure that quintuples that recorded in the same period of the previous year.

According to data from the Foreign Investment Register DataInvex, the volume of capital raised reached 1.846 billion euros. This 412% increase marks a change in trend after two years of decline, consolidating the region as the third largest recipient of capital in Spain, only behind Madrid and Catalonia.
The food sector has positioned itself as the main driver, with 544 million euros, followed by transport and logistics, which added 320 million. Other prominent areas include the manufacture of electrical equipment and computer products. At the provincial level, the province of Valencia concentrates 80% of the total invested, with a growth of 588.6% compared to the previous year.
Regarding the origin of the funds, 83% of the investment in the province of Valencia comes from European Union countries, with France, Italy, and Germany leading the way. Likewise, a notable recovery of capital from the United States has been observed, which has grown by 500% compared to the first half of 2025.
