According to data published by the Spanish Mortgage Association, the value of free-market housing in the city of Cordoba has grown by 13 percent compared to the same period last year. This increase represents a difference of 250 euros per square meter compared to the 1,534 euros recorded in June 2025.
Despite the upward trend, second-quarter indicators show a moderation in the growth rate. Between March and June 2026, the price per square meter increased by 2.2 percent, rising from 1,746 to 1,784 euros, representing a 38-euro increase over three months.
The trend is also observed in other significant municipalities in the province. In Lucena, prices have risen by 15.3 percent, reaching 1,094 euros per square meter, while in Puente Genil, the increase was 12.6 percent, reaching 986 euros per square meter.
At the provincial level, the average cost of free-market housing stands at 1,307 euros per square meter, an annual increase of 10.5 percent. Meanwhile, official protection housing (VPO) maintains an average price of 1,231 euros per square meter, with a more moderate annual growth of 3.8 percent.
