The economic situation at IFA-Fira Alacant continues to improve, as reflected in the 2025 accounts. Losses have decreased by over 80%, falling from 296,801 euros in 2024 to 54,523 euros in the latest fiscal year. This trend confirms the exhibition institution's recovery following organizational changes.
Increased activity has been key, with revenue growing by 22% to 2.83 million euros. This rise is attributed to a greater number of fairs, corporate events, congresses, and other events held at the venue. Furthermore, internal expenses have been reduced, as highlighted by the general director, Alejandro Morant.
The reduction in losses within a single year amounts to over 242,000 euros, bringing the institution close to financial equilibrium. The venue's management shows increased dynamism, with ordinary income growing while personnel costs have decreased.
Available liquidity has more than tripled, increasing from 401,784 euros to 1.34 million, providing a more solid financial position. Current liabilities have also been nearly halved.
The greater intensity of venue usage translates into more exhibiting companies, visitors, and a larger economic impact for the province. This year, fairs such as Pasión Cofrade and Expovans & Trucks have been added, while others like Expocaravanning have seen increased visitor numbers. "In other words, not only are there more fairs, but more tickets have been sold throughout Fira Alacant's calendar," stated Morant.
To revitalize the venue, Fira Alacant has already reserved its outdoor space for concerts in the summer of 2027, from June 15 to September 27, with a fixed fee of 67,000 euros plus an additional 6,000 euros per concert. Improvements are also planned for 2026, including the recovery of direct parking management and the tendering of cafeterias and restaurants, which are expected to increase revenue by approximately 50%.
