The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, through Adif AV, has been authorized to tender this new contract, valued at 16,989,149.3 euros. The objective is to continue with the development of the new railway network configuration in the Valencian capital, a key step in the construction of the Access Canal.
The contract includes the installation of signaling, telecommunications, energy, and video surveillance for the new railway access to València Joaquín Sorolla station. These improvements are fundamental for the future technical operation scheme of the terminal.
The actions consist of adapting these control, command, and signaling installations to the different provisional phases planned in the Access Canal works, as well as to their definitive situation. The installation of new elements for traffic regulation and the adaptation of hardware and software for various interlockings are foreseen.
Specifically, the interlockings affected by this new configuration include València Nord, Joaquín Sorolla, La Font de Sant Lluís, Sant Isidre, and Alfafara. Among the elements and devices included in the action are train protection systems (axle counters), lateral signaling with LED technology spotlights, connections for the distribution of signaling cables, track devices, billboards and fixed information screens, electro-hydraulic actuators, and the expansion and modification of the wiring network for security installations.
