The Elche City Council has been designated as a guest city for the upcoming Franchise Innovation Summit 2026, which will take place in Madrid to promote commerce and entrepreneurship.

This designation, confirmed during the Annual Summer Forum of the Relaciones Empresariales del Mediterráneo (REM) network, represents a strategic opportunity to position the municipality as a competitive destination for the expansion of commercial chains and the attraction of investments.
The work carried out by the Economic Promotion department aims to showcase Elche's commercial dynamism to investors, consultants, and major firms at both national and international levels. The agreement with REM strengthens public-private collaboration, facilitating the connection of local businesses with successful business models.

"Elche has been and is a municipality with a one hundred percent industrial and commercial vocation. We have a mature, solid productive structure with enormous potential to lead the attraction of new business models."

Samuel Ruiz · Councilor for Economic Promotion
The municipal government is preparing its participation in this event with the goal of transforming its institutional presence into real opportunities for commercial diversification and job creation for the entire municipality.
