The Elche-based fashion and footwear brand Cuplé, headquartered in Elche Business Park, has announced the opening of three new stores and the reorganization of its retail network, one year after being acquired by businessman Jordi Hidalgo.

This move is part of a new expansion phase combining owned stores and franchises, and follows a process of retail network reorganization parallel to the restructuring of the group now formed by Cuplé and Blanco.
The immediate growth plan envisions a network of 22 establishments for both companies. Currently, Cuplé has eleven points of sale, three of which are franchises, all located in Spain. Following the acquisition, the brand has reorganized its network and relocated some of its stores, such as in Gijón, where it moved from Los Moros Street to Menéndez Valdés Street.
The process began with Jordi Hidalgo Palomares's takeover of Cuplé through the company HR Consultores. The operation unified Cuplé and Blanco under one management, aiming to use the Elche-based firm's structure to relaunch the latter. During this phase, Hidalgo put the brands New Blanco, Blanco Man, Blanco Woman, and Blanco Kids up for sale in 2024.
The integration of the two brands has also led to corporate and management changes within Cuplé. Two proxies, Francisco Sánchez Pastor and Teresa Sánchez Pastor, left the company. Additionally, at the end of 2024, the sole administrator, Ricardo Subiela, was replaced by Henko Evolution, a company linked to Jordi Hidalgo, as administrator.
The group's integration also has a territorial impact: Blanco has moved its headquarters to Elche, articulating its new phase from there, supported by Cuplé's infrastructure. In this reorganization, the brand is preparing to relaunch its online store and open new points of sale, including an establishment at Torre Outlet Zaragoza and another planned for the Thader shopping center in Murcia.
While this process advanced, Cuplé continued to adjust its own network. In 2025, it opened a store in Lugo, on Rúa do Progreso, and earlier, in 2024, inaugurated an outlet at La Torre Outlet Zaragoza. That same year, it also opened in Albacete, on Mayor Street, and in Ciudad Real, with a subsequent relocation to Cruz Street. In Zaragoza, it also relocated another of its establishments to San Clemente Street.
However, the network reorganization has not only involved openings. In 2024, Cuplé decided to close its physical store in Elche after three decades. That location had been the company's first store before its national and international expansion. Following this closure, the closest store to the city became the one in Alicante, on Maisonnave Avenue.
The brand's trajectory, which began in 1987 with Toñi Pastor in Elche, specialized in footwear and later expanded into various fashion lines. In 2021, it had already resumed physical openings after another period of retail business reorganization, including a pop-up store in Puerta del Sol in Madrid and subsequent implementations in shopping centers in Madrid and Zaragoza, as well as a store in Gandia.
Additionally, the company has maintained international activity, reaching Guatemala in 2024 and opening a showroom in Puebla, Mexico, after inaugurating points of sale in Croatia and Slovenia in September 2023. Nevertheless, the document on the new phase focuses the current network of eleven points of sale in Spain and on immediate growth linked to a combination of owned stores and franchises.
Economically, the latest available accounts for the Elche-based company show that Cuplé closed 2023 with a turnover of 266,000 euros, compared to 1.6 million in 2022 and 1.9 million recorded in 2020. This forms the basis for the current integration operation with Blanco and the return to an opening strategy.
