Consum Closes 2025 with 9.7% Revenue Increase and 122 Million Profit

The Valencian cooperative invested 231 million euros and created over a thousand new jobs, strengthening its physical and digital presence.

The Consum cooperative closed the 2025 fiscal year with a turnover of 5,163.6 million euros, a 9.7% increase from the previous year, and a net profit of 122 million, up 12.3%.

These positive results are attributed to improved management efficiency, growth in fresh produce sales, and strict cost control. The business evolution solidifies the company's position as the sixth-largest distribution company by surface area in Spain, holding a 4.9% share of the national market and 13.9% in its area of influence, according to Nielsen data.
During the fiscal year, Consum invested 231 million euros, primarily allocated to organic growth and enhancing its online service. The cooperative opened 59 new supermarkets (18 owned and 41 Charter franchises) and carried out 17 improvements in existing stores, expanding its network to 1,017 establishments.
In the digital sphere, Consum's online store now operates in nearly 600 towns and increased its sales by 9%, reaching 83.1 million euros, representing 1.6% of the total. Additionally, the company allocated 34 million to innovation, with logistics projects such as new platforms in Toledo and Catalonia, and a centralized warehouse in València planned for 2026.
Regarding employment, the cooperative created 1,162 new jobs, bringing the total workforce to 23,031 people, of whom 93.8% are worker-members. Consum distributed 128.7 million euros among its staff, including cooperative returns and performance-based incentives.
