The Business Culture Chair at the University of Valencia has concluded the seventh edition of “Jo vull ser empresari”, an initiative designed for university entrepreneurs.

The program, held during May and June, hosted 28 attendees who worked on a total of 21 business ideas. This edition highlighted the value of the training itinerary offered by the Chair, as a significant number of participants who started in “Qui pot ser empresari?” chose to continue their education in “Jo vull ser empresari”, creating a continuous learning process from idea generation to company creation.
Juanjo Torres, director of the Chair, emphasized that the continuity of these students reflects the value of an itinerary that guides them step-by-step in their preparation to undertake and lead business projects with greater chances of success.
The course was structured into several entrepreneurship capsules taught by members of the Chair's Board, who shared their practical experience. The direction was managed by a committee comprising patrons Araceli Císcar (Dacsa), Fernando Gómez (B-live), and Teresa Puchades (Avanza Urbana). Sessions took place on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout May and June.

"The talent of our university students is undeniable, but our role is to help them bridge that gap to market reality. We want to instill the culture of effort and provide them with the keys to learn how to transform their initial ideas into solid and viable projects."

Araceli Císcar · Dacsa

"We wanted students to shape their ideas by providing them with tools and, above all, our real experience. Not just our successes, but also our mistakes, are the most important for someone starting out."

Fernando Gómez · B-live

"This program is not a classic course, but a truly dynamic and practical think tank. We seek for students to test their ideas and solidify their projects, but we also gain the valuable experience of seeing where the business future is heading and the immense enthusiasm of these new entrepreneurs."

Teresa Puchades · Avanza Urbana
Other collaborators as lecturers included Ángel Buigues (Bstartup), Jesús Bonet (Bonet Abogados), Juan Manuel Baixauli (Consultia Travel), Víctor Bertolín (Zumez), Paco Gavilán (Nunsys), Eva Prieto (Isaval), and Juanjo Torres.
The seventh edition maintained the essence of previous ones, incorporating novelties such as a prior breakfast with faculty to agree on the course's focus. New subjects were added, including Business Ethics, taught by Aniceto Masferrer (Professor of History of Law at UV), and Internationalization, led by Raúl Royo (President of Invext).
Another novelty was the inclusion of former students as lecturers, such as María Villalba, Carles Murillo, Loreto Crespo, Néstor Cervera, Alde González, Cristina Contell, Jordi Oliver, Israel del Burgo, as well as Luz Adell and Karina Virrueta, who shared their entrepreneurial experiences.
Throughout the course, students worked on content related to business projects, business models, financing, innovation, sustainability, legal aspects, commercial models, internal management, technology, growth, marketing, and internationalization, offering a broad and applied vision of launching and evolving a business project.
The closing event featured a presentation by Agustín Martín, former president of Toyota Spain and UK, who gave the talk “Growing without ceasing to be human: lessons from 30 years at Toyota for future entrepreneurs”. His participation provided the final touch to an edition aimed at bringing top-tier business figures and leadership experiences to students.
With this edition, the Business Culture Chair reaffirms its commitment to the entrepreneurial training of University of Valencia students and the connection between university and business, consolidating a space for learning and talent development.
