The board of the Ayuntamiento de València's urban innovation foundation will approve this Thursday the dismissal of David Rosa as managing director and the appointment of Arturo Castelló to officially take over the position.

The change occurs due to health reasons, as David Rosa has been on medical leave for months due to a serious illness. During this period, Arturo Castelló had already assumed some management duties on an interim basis, and this transition will now be made official.
David Rosa leaves the executive frontline after a notable period at the entity, where he joined in 2019 as technical deputy director. With a career linked to the innovation sector, including previous experience at Microsoft's Global Sport Innovation Center and the Valencian Institute of Biomechanics (IBV), Rosa took over the management of Las Naves in early 2025, succeeding Marta Chillarón. During his tenure, he has been a key figure in deploying the Valencia Innovation Capital strategy.
Precisely for his trajectory and decisive role in consolidating València as a leading technological hub in Europe, Rosa will receive this year the Honorary Award Ciudad de València 2026 granted by the Valencia Digital Summit.
For his part, Arturo Castelló also has a profile closely linked to the entrepreneurial ecosystem. A graduate in Business Administration from the Universitat de València, Castelló is recognized as the founder of Encom Games and the main driving force behind DreamHack València, a benchmark event for esports in the city, experience he brought to the public foundation's deputy directorship.
For the moment, the appointment of the person to occupy the technical deputy director position left vacant by Castelló has not been included in the agenda. It should be recalled that the management team is completed by the Deputy Director of Entrepreneurship, Lucía Calabria.
