The Miguel Hernández University Science Park (PCUMH) and the Habaneras Shopping Center in Torrevieja have signed an agreement to create a free exhibition space, providing visibility to entrepreneurs and start-ups from the province of Alicante.
This collaboration primarily aims to foster innovation and business development in the region, offering a real showcase where new companies can present their products and services directly to the public. The agreement is materialized through the “Habaneras Emprende” initiative, which will benefit from the support and expertise of the PCUMH in assisting innovative projects.
The collaboration protocol was signed by Tonia Salinas, managing director of the UMH Science Park, and Jorge Doncel, manager of the Habaneras Shopping Center. The exhibition space, located in a prime area of the shopping center, will be available free of charge for start-ups and innovative companies, including those linked to the PCUMH and other general initiatives.

"For start-ups, it represents, on the one hand, a fundamental proof of concept to determine if a product is viable and truly meets consumer demand, and on the other, a great opportunity to launch and accelerate those initial sales, which are often crucial for the company's survival."
The first company to occupy this stand is Callnak, a technological start-up from the PCUMH that is revolutionizing the footwear industry through additive manufacturing and 3D printing. Their products, entirely made in Elda, are based on a demand-driven production model, without stock, using 100% recyclable materials for personalized, comfortable, and sustainable footwear.
With over five million annual visitors, the Habaneras Shopping Center offers a significant exhibition platform. Additionally, the project benefits from the collaboration of Apymeco, the local Small and Medium Business Association, which will help disseminate the initiative and organize training talks. Castellana Properties, owner of the shopping center, has invested in the creation and operation of the stand, removing economic barriers for entrepreneurs.

"This agreement allows us to open the doors of the shopping center to entrepreneurial talent, turning it into a space where innovation directly reaches people. We want Habaneras to be much more than a shopping destination, a meeting point where entrepreneurs can showcase their ideas and connect with the real public."
This alliance will also include the organization of complementary activities such as workshops, conferences, and presentations, reinforcing the commitment of PCUMH and Habaneras to the development of the business fabric in the province of Alicante and bringing innovation closer to the public.
