The personnel plantilla for the Alcoy City Council is set at 644 positions, including permanent staff, temporary employees, and political advisors, in addition to civil servant positions. The 25 council members also add to this figure. The public company is projected to exceed 120 employees, taking on services such as home care, municipal building cleaning, maintenance of the Camilo Sesto Museum, the Rodes technology park, the Municipal Art Gallery, and the Eduardo Latorre sports complex, as well as the Theater School.
Expenses for current goods and services are estimated at 21,311,389.89 euros (27.7% of the total), while current transfers, including aid and subsidies, amount to 8,264,603.53 euros. The budget was submitted for plenary approval in April but failed to pass with 13 votes against (PP, Vox, and Guanyar Alcoi) versus 12 in favor (PSOE and Compromís). Subsequently, the mayor, Toni Francés, faced a confidence vote which also did not pass, and after a month, the budget has been definitively approved.
