The municipal delegation, accompanied by the president of ATEVAL, Pepe Serna, and the Director of Internationalization of ATEVAL and Home Textiles From Spain, Leila Bachetarzi, gained first-hand insight into the companies' innovations and collections, as well as business opportunities and trends in the regional textile sector.
Feria Hábitat València, held from September 28th to October 1st, is a leading international showcase for the Spanish habitat industry. This year, it integrates Textilhogar, featuring over a hundred home textile brands, alongside furniture, lighting, and decoration. The fair includes an incoming trade mission with 75 buyers from 33 international markets.
Mayor Toni Francés emphasized the significance of Alcoy companies' participation: «Once again, we have come to Fira Hábitat de València to support our textile sector, the most important industrial sector in our city, and a sector that, as we can see, has a great future, with a significant capacity to innovate, evolve, and adapt to new times to compete in an increasingly globalized world. The truth is that on the first day of the fair, the exhibitors and our companies are reporting very positive sensations, with high customer footfall, and we are confident that this fair will once again be an economic driver, an opportunity to showcase our products worldwide».
The Councillor for Industry, Elisa Guillem, highlighted the presence of the regional textile sector, noting that out of 50 Valencian textile exhibitors, 22 come from the Alcoià-Comtat and Vall d'Albaida regions, making it a key economic engine.
Participation in the fair underscores the importance of the Alcoià and El Comtat industry in an event focused on internationalization, design, and innovation. AITEX is also presenting home textile trends for 2027.
