The Observatori Marina Alta has launched an interactive viewer that facilitates the comparison of fuel prices between municipalities, brands, and service stations in the region.

This digital tool uses open data from the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge to provide updated information on the cost of Diesel A and Unleaded 95 Gasoline. The analysis covers a total of 63 service stations spread across 14 municipalities in the Marina Alta.
According to the data, there are significant territorial variations. While the inland area records the highest average prices, the intermediate zone presents the most economical options. At the municipal level, differences of up to 20.5 cents per liter are observed in the case of Diesel A.
The study suggests that a higher concentration of service stations in the same municipality may favor more competitive prices, thanks to greater rivalry between operators. This initiative seeks to bring the socioeconomic reality closer to citizens and businesses in a context marked by the volatility of energy markets.
