This record figure is accompanied by a net profit of 20 million euros, surpassing the 14.2 million obtained in 2024. The family business, with over 90 years of history, is led by the third generation, with Joan Griñó as president, who oversees waste management and treatment operations and environmental services.

The group's growth has occurred both organically and through acquisitions, such as the recent integration of Azor Ambiental, a Murcian company specializing in battery recycling. Griñó operates 52 facilities, mostly in Spain, but also has a presence in Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Chile, and Argentina.
Between 2024 and 2025, the company invested 33.2 million euros in modernizing its plants and in new projects, especially in generating renewable energy from discarded waste. Joan Griñó highlights the plant in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, where they are focusing on cogeneration using alternative fuels, transforming industrial waste into fuel for factories.

For 2026, the conglomerate has already committed over 7 million euros to new strategic investments. The group, which remains mostly owned by the founding family, manages 2 million tons of waste annually and employs over 1,500 professionals.
