This new award addresses the need to align the service with the high occupancy levels previously observed, even during the low season. The addition of a third daily frequency represents an increase of over 30% in seat capacity compared to the previous contract, thereby strengthening the offering on this route deemed essential for Menorca residents.
The established schedules ensure an early morning departure from Menorca and a late afternoon return flight, maximizing the time citizens have at their destination. The remaining operations of the day will be adjusted according to service demand.
It is anticipated that following the contract's signing, the awarded contractor will soon begin selling tickets. This will enable residents of the Balearic Islands to plan their trips well in advance for travel starting November 1.
